The California Interscholastic Federation is proud to collaborate with the InSideOut Initiative to share trainings and resources with coaches and administrators throughout the state.

The InSideOut Initiative is a national movement that empowers and equips Athletic Directors to connect student-athletes to transformational coaches, in a culture of belonging, for their social-emotional and character development.

Benefits for Athletic Directors

• Funded by Rams, Chargers, Niners & NFL Foundation in Partnership with CIF at no cost to member schools
• 3 year – Four-Phase Purpose-Based Initiative
• Provides ongoing professional development for Athletic Directors
• Assists Athletic Directors in creating a transformational culture that is aligned with teaching and learning
• Provides Training for Coaches
• Provides access to the InSideOut Community (best practices, resources, and ongoing support)

• Develops transformational coaches through an InSideOut process that develops five competencies of Social-Emotional, Character Development in coaches

  • Self-Management
  • Relational Development
  • Social-Awareness
  • Ethical Decision-making
• Connects student-athletes to transformational coaches in a culture of belonging for their human growth and development
• Provides a 12-week student-based curriculum that focuses on the five Competencies of Social-emotional learning
• Provides access to the InSideOut Community and ongoing training opportunities
