MINIMUM AND RECOMMENDED EXPECTATIONS FOR SITES

The volleyball court and equipment must conform with all requirements stated in the NFHS volleyball rules book. The gym's bleacher seating capacity exceeds 500 for Open Division – Division III and 300 for Division IV-VI. If your gym does not meet the specifications, it is the responsibility of the host school to find an alternative location. Recommended ceiling height of 30’ and clear of any obstructions above the playing surface.

CIF Staff use the criteria that one seat equals 18" of bleacher space. Therefore, as an example, bleachers that are 15' long and five rows high will seat approximately 50 spectators.
