High School Licensing Royalties Through LRG
CIF-member schools have the opportunity to raise much-needed funds by simply agreeing to license their school names, logos and mascots. The CIF has entered into a "pilot" program with Licensing Resource Group (LRG). LRG has entered into an agreement with large "box" stores, such as Walmart, which sell merchandise using our school names, logos and mascots. They will collect any royalties from the sale of your school merchandise and it will be passed on to your school on a yearly basis from CIF.

Trademarking Logos
A school can either file their trademark with the State of California (Secretary of State Office of Trademarks & Services Marks) or the Federal Government (U.S. Department of Commerce: Patent & Trademark Office). The California trademarking process is more affordable and simpler than the Federal process, but the protections offered at the Federal level are more extensive. Please review the forms and fees below for more information.
